The state government on Monday released Rs 7.1 crore for upgradation of 13 healthcare facilities in four districts.
Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Monday said that funds have been released to improve infrastructure and facilities at these centres so that people can get quality healthcare at their doorstep. “The government is committed to providing quality healthcare to all citizens of the state. The upgradation of CHCs and PHCs is a step in that direction,” he said.
An amount of Rs 66 lakh has been released for the upgradation of the community health centre in Prithviganj in Pratapgarh. In Pilibhit, Rs 66 lakh has been released for CHC in Devaria Kala.
Similarly, Rs 1.31 crore has been released for CHC in Jayaprakash Nagar in Ballia while Rs 4.53 crore has been released for four CHCs and five PHCs in Shamli. These funds will be used to improve facilities, construction of buildings, procurement of equipment, and upgradation of existing infrastructure.
