The Government of the Russian Federation introduces mandatory labeling of medical drugs, dietary supplements and antiseptics
On October 1, all manufactured and imported products will be labelled.

The Russian Federation's Government Decree No. 870 "On Approval of the Rules for Labelling" of May 30, 2023 mandated the labelling of medical devices, antiseptics, dietary supplements, and wheelchairs. From September 1, 2023, applications for registration of relevant products in the state monitoring system will be accepted.
Denis Manturov, the Russian Federation's Minister of Industry and Trade, hosted a meeting of the State Commission for Combating Illicit Trafficking in Industrial Products in 2020. One of the State Commission's main concerns was the improvement of measures to combat the illegal trafficking of biologically active food supplements.
The Ministry of Industry and Trade reported in 2020 that labelling for cosmetic products with a declared antimicrobial effect, as well as skin antiseptics, could become mandatory on April 1, 2023.
