In a major step towards expanding its national footprint, Max Healthcare has inaugurated a state-of-the-art, 300-bed super speciality hospital in Dwarka, South-West Delhi. This greenfield facility marks a significant milestone in the hospital chain’s broader plan to add 3,700 beds across India by 2028.

Union Minister for Health and Family Welfare and Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, JP Nadda, inaugurated the new hospital, underscoring the vital role of public-private partnerships in strengthening India’s healthcare landscape. “We must ensure that healthcare is not only high quality but also affordable and accessible. This requires a synergy of speed, scale, and skill,” he remarked.

Strategically located in Dwarka, the newly launched hospital is equipped with cutting-edge medical technology and is designed to provide integrated, patient-focused care across a wide range of specialties. Abhay Soi, Chairman and Managing Director of Max Healthcare Institute Ltd, highlighted the importance of the location, stating, “Dwarka’s excellent connectivity and growing demand for advanced medical care make it an ideal choice. This greenfield facility is a reflection of our mission to build sustainable, high-quality infrastructure that brings healthcare closer to the people.”

Spanning 8.62 acres, the hospital is among the first in Delhi NCR to receive a 5-Star GRIHA rating for its environmentally sustainable design. The facility incorporates clean energy solutions, zero-liquid discharge systems, EV charging stations, and architecture optimized for natural light — demonstrating Max Healthcare’s commitment to eco-friendly operations.

The hospital includes more than 120 critical care beds, 10 modular operation theatres, and advanced Cath Labs. It also provides tertiary and quaternary care across core specialties such as cardiac sciences, oncology, neurosciences, gastroenterology, renal sciences, paediatrics, robotic surgery, and organ transplants — enabling comprehensive treatment under one roof.

Delhi’s Health and Family Welfare Minister, Dr. Pankaj Kumar Singh, praised the initiative, noting, “This hospital will significantly enhance healthcare delivery not only for residents of Delhi but also for people from surrounding states.”

As part of its ongoing expansion, Max Healthcare also plans to open three more hospitals in Mohali, Mumbai, and Saket, New Delhi later this year. The Dwarka facility represents a forward-looking approach to healthcare infrastructure — one that prioritizes accessibility, sustainability, and high-quality care.
