In a strategic move to deepen its technology capabilities and expand global reach, Indian mental health platform LISSUN has acquired US-based mental wellness startup Being Cares Inc. The acquisition includes Being’s full team and proprietary AI-driven mental health mapping technology, positioning LISSUN at the forefront of personalized, tech-enabled care for individuals and families.

Being Cares brings to the table a sophisticated AI platform that maps over 2,500 root causes and effects across more than 40 mental health conditions—including anxiety, depression, burnout, and parenting-related stress. LISSUN plans to build on this foundation by extending its applications to child-centric concerns such as autism spectrum disorder, ADHD, speech delays, and learning challenges.

The acquisition is set to supercharge LISSUN’s hybrid model, which combines professional therapist-led care with intelligent automation. With this integration, families will gain access to real-time progress tracking, tailored therapeutic activities, and milestone mapping—all informed by insights from thousands of therapy sessions.

As part of the merger, Being’s founding team has joined LISSUN’s leadership ranks: Varun Gandhi will serve as Chief Product Officer, while Abhishek Sharma takes on the role of Chief Technology Officer.

“This is more than a business transaction—it’s a transformative step in reimagining how mental healthcare can support entire families,” said Tarun Gupta, Co-founder of LISSUN. “Our goal is to offer hyper-personalized support that’s accessible and consistent, across every life stage.”

Currently, LISSUN operates 20 Sunshine Centres and plans to expand to over 200 centres across India within the next two to four years. The company’s AI assistant, Ray, is also set to broaden its capabilities, offering support to families via widely used platforms like WhatsApp, while ensuring continuity of care across home, school, and clinical environments.

The company also signaled its openness to collaborate with early-stage startups that are innovating in the mental health space, underlining its vision to create an ecosystem of accessible and holistic care.

“With LISSUN, we’ve found the perfect partner to scale our vision,” said Varun Gandhi, Co-founder and former CEO of Being Cares. “This collaboration brings together cutting-edge technology and empathetic human support, ensuring that no family is left navigating mental wellness alone.”

As the demand for inclusive, tech-enabled mental healthcare grows globally, LISSUN’s latest move underscores its commitment to bridging the accessibility gap and making quality mental wellness support a reality for every household.
