The Government of India is set to host the 9th edition of India Pharma 2026 in New Delhi on April 13–14, positioning the event as a key platform to accelerate the country’s transition into a global hub for pharmaceutical innovation and high-value research.

Organised by the Department of Pharmaceuticals under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers, in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) and the Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance (IPA), the conference will convene policymakers, global industry leaders, researchers, and innovators to chart the future of the sector.

With the theme “Discover in India: Leapfrogging Life-Sciences Innovation,” the event aims to highlight India’s growing capabilities in cutting-edge research while reinforcing its commitment to improving healthcare access and strengthening global health systems.

The two-day conference will focus on emerging opportunities across drug discovery, complex generics, and biosimilars, while also showcasing the country’s strong manufacturing base and rapidly expanding research and development ecosystem.

India Pharma 2026 is expected to serve as a strategic forum for collaboration and policy dialogue, supporting the sector’s shift from a volume-driven model to one led by innovation and value creation. The initiative aligns with the broader vision of enhancing India’s role in global pharmaceutical supply chains and advancing self-reliance in healthcare.

As India continues to strengthen its position in the global life sciences landscape, the conference is poised to underscore the country’s ambitions of becoming a leading force in next-generation healthcare solutions.
