Valery Zhorov, the former deputy head of the Ministry of Health of the Ulyanovsk Region, has been named director of the Biotek group's Mari El - Marbiopharm plant, according to Dmitry Rutskoi. After Rutskoy received Biotek's assets in management, he replaced Yevgeny Golyatin in this position.

JSC MFPDC Biotek owns Marbiopharm OJSC. According to the official website, the plant is a full-cycle operation. Currently, it supplies more than 80 items of products from various pharmaceutical groups to the markets of all regions of Russia, as well as to countries near and far abroad: medicines, dietary supplements, food additives, and substances.

Valery Zhorov holds a degree in Organisational Management from Ulyanovsk State Technical University. He started working in the Ulyanovsk holding for the production of automotive components AMS-Group in 2004. In 2016, he became Commercial Director of the Prior Group, an industrial waste operating company, and in 2017, he worked for five months as Commercial Director of a division of the Prominvest holding. In May 2017, he was appointed director of a Med-Profi group division - a private medical centre in Ulyanovsk; after a little more than a year, he was promoted to commercial director. He was appointed director of the State Pharmacy of the Ulyanovsk Region in January 2022. Three months later, he was appointed as the region's Deputy Minister of Health.  He resigned in July 2022, along with the region's then-Minister of Health, Alexander Gashkov. He went back to Med-Profi for the same job.

The main legal entities of the Biotek group of companies, including Marbiopharm, were transferred to the management of Dmitry Rutsky, the owner of Pharmacy Traditions Management Company, in early April 2023. Marbiopharm's bankruptcy case was dismissed on April 3.
