Armenian Ambassador Discusses Strengthening Bilateral Ties with Indian President during Credentials Ceremony

On November 28, Ambassador Vahagn Afyan of the Republic of Armenia in the Republic of India had a meeting with President Draupadi Murmu of the Republic of India as part of the Ceremony of the Presentation of the Letters of Credence.

During a private discussion that ensued after the presentation of credentials for several ambassadors at the Presidential Palace, Ambassador Afyan emphasized Armenia's high regard for India's traditions, rich in historical, cultural, and democratic values. He also highlighted the developing economic progress in bilateral ties.

In the meeting, President Murmu acknowledged the significant and longstanding Armenian presence in various regions of India, recent notable collaborative efforts across various sectors, and underscored the importance of advancing youth involvement in various programs through further initiatives.
