Anahit Avanesyan participates in the regular meeting of the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) Council

Anahit Avanesyan, Minister of Health, attended the regular session of the Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI) Council in Montreux, Switzerland, where the most important issues of future immunisation programme implementation were discussed and joint decisions were made.
During the session, all of the participating countries formed a "Implementing Countries Group." It will enable countries to have a stronger voice in the future and make important decisions affecting their populations' health and well-being.
In addition, decisions were made to improve programme management and strengthen country, partner, and alliance ties in order to effectively implement the strategy.
A number of issues related to the COVAX platform's activity and existing problems were also discussed, which are critical for the proper implementation of the Republic of Armenia's anti-epidemic measures.
